Journaling Streak Day 4 :: Why

Why do we write?

We write because this world is too cluttered and busy for us to find or know or live in our truths without first claiming them.

We write because writing means finding and knowing ourselves.

We write because we need to be seen and known and understood.

We write because all truth lives inside of us, and writing finds its way to the inside.

We write because our hands are connected to our hearts, and our hearts know what we need to know.

We write because it feels good and cathartic and healing and helpful and meaningful and spiritual.

We write because writing allows you to reach resources deep inside yourself.

We write because “when we write many avenues open up inside us”. -Natalie Goldberg
